A gallery for my Emma Sheen cosplay has been added!

I migraded a tutorial over from my old blog, so ‘Basic Pattern Modification pt 1’ is now up an viewable here. It’s very basic, and the follow up tutorial should be up sometime soon. It will cover sizing patterns up or down to better fit your needs.

My Yuki Nagato wig came! The color is exactly what I wanted. I’ve started cutting it so I should have the before and after to show in the next could of days when I finally add a work in progress section to the site.

I’m adding a section in a few days that will cover product recommendations relating to costume construction. I’m still working out where it will go on the site and what to put up, but so far I have a good working list of items I personally use and want to review and recommend to others.

Maid Saber is about 50% done. My deadline is Friday- that’s when the shoot is scheduled so you should be seeing it up here very soon (I hope!)

This weekend is Animation on Display, a San Fransisco Bay area convention held at the beautiful Kabuki Hotel.

I’m packing up for it, and can’t wait to drive out tomorrow for it. I’m not bringing many costumes, but I am finally going to have some pictures of my Emma Sheen! It’s been over a year since I started it, so it’s about time!

If you are going, email me! I’ll have my phone on me so I can check emails. I think it’s a good convention to just hang out at or do a photoshoot :D

I’ve added a new page to my cosplay section. It’s the XYZ Junk folder. It’s basically for everything I don’t have a place for elsewhere~

Currently, only my Pie contest entry is in there… I have more pics to upload there later, but it’s a start:


New stuff  has been added to press & I’m thinking of adding a WIP section soon. Just a place to house the images of stuff in progress since I’ve had enough questions asked that could be answered by visuals~

I also need to get on the ball and transfer over my tutorials from my old blog already. Sheesh, I’m lazy! :P


I’ve got a new wig (and contacts) coming  in the mail. I can’t wait to cut and style it!  I had several yards of the right blue fabric for a Yuki Nagato costume in my scrap fabrics so I’m just gonna make it when I get a few free days. I have no idea what con to wear it to, though :/

AoD is this weekend, so I should have a couple new costumes up right after it. Woo, Zeta Gundam! Finally going to wear this Emma costume that has been sitting around for an eternity.

I don’t know why I haven’t linked to this before now because I really like some of the photos MaxArcher of cosplayshots.com  took of this outfit I bought while in Akihabara last year. He wanted to do a shoot, but I didn’t have anything new to show. Because of that, it’s essentially just a wig, contacts, and a pre-made costume, hence I won’t upload any of it here. I still want to share it though! I love that costume even though I didn’t make it myself.

I have a few and they are fun to wear around conventions when I don’t want to deal with a big costume. Who doesn’t love maids, right?

So I’m past the stage of feeling like I’m going to pass out, and have moved on to denial of it ever having happened. I’m trying to remember what my psychology professor said the next stage of coping is…

You know when something is so awesome, it’s traumatic? Yeah…it’s that awesome. XD

If anyone ever questioned what a big nerd I am, this should bring you back to reality. I’m having a mini-heart attack over being featured in that post about cosplay. I know, some of you reading are thinking I should probably get out more, but this is seriously a big, big deal for me.


I’m going to go back to answering some of the emails I just received and pining over pictures the nendoroid saber lion as usual… Yeah, I spend my friday nights in style!~

Otacool entry and Ice Shaving Penguins!

So I decided to enter the Otacool2 cosplay book contest. Here’s to hoping I get a little page space!

I think it would be nice if you took a look at my entry…no pressure, or course! Too bad SaberLily is a bit more pushy than me about it.


Also, I’m enamored with my new figure. Particularly the ice shaver. If only there existed a full scale real version of that thing! T__T I want one so bad! I’d make ice cones constantly, even if it was freezing outside…

My only complaint is my unlucky choice of one with some overspray or a finger print on her ribbon :/ Other than that, it’s a nice figure. It’s huge too.



Site Related: I’m slowly fixing the links on the side and providing more links to places I have accounts.
I’ll have my Nagi costume up by the end of this week and my Kagome and Emma Sheen at the end of the month.


Costume Related: Got the fabric for my Maid Saber! Ordering the petticoat ASAP. Hopefully I will have something up by Valentine’s Day _ That’s my intended goal to have it done and get a photoshoot for it so I can have a holiday post.
Now if only I can track down a figure of that Saber. I really want the one with the mop! >:3 Too bad it’s rare and expensive! I think I will just settle for the good smile one with the chair though. It’s cute too, just not as sexy~

ALA is over and I’m starting the hunt for photos!

Two new costumes should be uploaded by next week! I’m excited~

I have a few shoots in the works, so hopefully there will even more stuff in the coming month.

A note to photographers for ALA

ALA is right around the corner, and I’m just starting to get a few notes rolling in about arranging things.
For photographers that have shot me before, you know to just pull me aside.
For new acquaintances, if you will be at ALA and are interested in shooting with me, I don’t have a set shoot schedule. Please just approach me when it’s a good time for you. If I’m in costume and not currently engaged in photo-taking, it’s probably a good time for me.
I’m not really the type to set a time table for things like that, so please forgive me if you’ve contacted me and I don’t have a date and time for when we can shoot together. Just get my attention when I’m in cosplay. If you have a specific location at the convention you want to use, that’s fine. I promise I’m not a big pain to work with~

My costumes for ALA are:
-Nagi from Devil Summoner 2
-Emma Sheen from Zeta Gundam
-One secret cosplay… it’s a group thing so I can’t say anything :3
-Also bringing a maid costume if you want to shoot me with my other cute maid friend on Sunday

If there is a certain costume you’d rather over than another, you can email me about it. I don’t have a clue when I will be wearing what, and probably won’t until the days right before the con. I will let you know if you pester me, but it will probably be close to New Years before I know.

A few people have asked, and no, I’m not bringing any of my older costumes to ALA, including Saber. I’m sorry :( If you want to shoot an older costume of mine, we need to arrange a time outside of conventions.

When ALA is a few days away I will post an updated costume list with times I’ll be around in them. For the time being, just email me that you will be looking for me at ALA, and I will keep it in mind to catch up with you at some point.

All pages on this site now have a translation option at the top of each.

Powered by google, there are 52 languages to choose from, so that should cover just about any visitor.

I also added a mobile version. It’s not frilly, but it makes the page viewable from just about any mobile phone.

I’m also seeing what I can do to add a translate option for this site since I’m only capable of posting in 3 languages atm, and my grammar isn’t great even in english. My Spanish is mediocre and my Japanese is abysmal. I don’t think I want to type everything 3 times anyways, so I’m hunting for a solution. Half my traffic is from contries that speak Spanish, Russian, Italian, or Japanese, so I want to accommodate that better.

I’m also working on a mobile site. We’ll see if I can manage that… >_>
